Your generous donations and support enable us to combat poverty and disease in the poorest regions of India by providing clean water, medical aid, education, food, shelter to the homeless, old age and orphanage to create lasting impact in people’s lives.

Thanks to donations we continue with our daily food langars (free food) amongst the various tribal communities that struggle to fight the harsh realities of poverty and exploitation. Concentrating our attention on two of the worst states for literacy, we have set up schools in both Jharkhand and Orissa. We currently have 4 schools and one Industrial training institute in operation. To date we have treated over 15000 people for eye surgeries such as cataract operations with our surgeons operating twice a week during November to March.

Anecdotal evidence gathered by the staff and management of Divine Onkar Mission, indicated that there is significant rise in elder abuse and neglect. Such experiences have led us to take action and create a unique facility for the elderly in the area of Palu in Ranchi. Our new Old Age Home in the state of Punjab has recently been constructed and opened, welcoming the elderly.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Divine Onkar Mission’s vision established by our founder and CEO Tersam Lal is to extend our hands, hearts and funds to the poor and disadvantaged, helping the most needy in some of the most remote parts of India. We remain dedicated to the course and will continue doing so as long as need requires us to. Since 1991, we work to eradicate poverty and promote social justice. Our main aim is to provide quality education from nursery to higher education at standards set by the central Indian government, in the hope that education will lead the future generations to help in educating others in the remote rural areas. It is not a short vision, when each child is admitted into the orphanage the aim is to feed, shelter, cloth and care for their educational psychological and social needs and see them complete 12th standard education and further. A vision to foster a world where hope thrives. Every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential to build and powered, inclusive, community focused, and sustainable organisation delivering dedicated service necessary to enhance quality of life and build the capacity of the most disadvantage communities in India as we reflect our journey so far we acknowledge the invaluable support of our team, partners, donors, and well wishers. Success Stories

My Name is Prakash Mahto ( Prakash Raaz ) When I first went to Divine Onkar Mission, I was 7 years old and I was the first disabled child of Divine Onkar Mission. Except me, there was no other disabled person in Onkar Mission at that time. I was the first disabled child. When I went to Divine Onkar Mission, I was admitted in nursery class. I took admission in Divine Onkar Mission in 2002 and I passed out from there after completing matriculation in 2014. I got lot of valuable knowledge from this institution. I got a lot of support from everyone there and I learnt how to help others. Thank you so much Divine Onkar Mission for your support and help.

My name is Pawan Mahto, S/o Late Damru Mahto. I am from Ichatu,Ramgarh (Jharkhand) and I was a student in 1st batch of Divine Onkar Mission School. Now I am posted in Indian Railway. Without the help of this organisation, I would have never reached this far in life today. My self Raju Bedia. I am very very thankful to DIVINE ONKAR family. Onkar family adopt me as an orphan and fulfil my all basic needs as well as provide me free education. After completing my schooling. I faced every good or bad situation as this organisation made me capable to fight and stand for myself through thick and thin. I always cherish memories made in Divine Onkar Mission. Now I am an employee in Indian railway.

Shri Radheshyam Singh, a gate keeper working in Divine Onkar Mission, Jharkhand for the last 20 years, while raising his children with hard work, yesterday celebrated his daughter Anjali Bharti who has made her father's name proud by contributing as the Station Incharge of Sonvarsha Kachhari Police Station. Anjali was a Divine Onkar Mission student 2018-19 batch. Radheshyam said of his daughter that since childhood, Anjali studied with great dedication and hard work considering our family conditions, and today she took charge as the Station In charge of the Police Station. As he expressed his happiness, tears of joy rolled down his eyes. All the officials, members and children of Divine Onkar Mission joined in the happiness of this achievement and distributed sweets on behalf of the Divine Onkar Mission family.

Sujjita Kumari Matho came to the school with her mother and two siblings. Sujjita’s father was addicted to alcohol and died due to over use and the family became homeless. Sujjita applied herself to her studies and always passed with excellent marks. She took up training at the Madam Mala Institute to study Hotel management. Due to her diligent, hard work and excellent interpersonal skills Sujjita has secured a place as an apprentice. We are proud to announce that Sujjita, after successfully completing her course at the Institute, has been hired at the Hotel Radisson, Udaipur as an apprentice Pastry Chef.

Kajal Gupta, an ex student of Divine Onkar Mission who is working in AIIMS Hospital Deoghar. Kajal was awarded a gold medal for outstanding work during her training to become a midwife. Kajal has continued to support the Divine Onkar Mission at every occasion on her journey of training and working.

I come from a poor family and spent my early years living in a leprosy colony, where both my parents worked as ragpickers. Despite the hardships, they were determined to provide me with a better future. They discovered an NGO named Divine Onkar Mission and sought their help for my admission. The NGO welcomed me with open arms, providing me with good food, shelter, and education. I excelled in my studies, and Divine Onkar Mission supported me further by helping me get into +2, where I passed with 1st division. Impressed by my academic performance, the NGO funded my B.Tech studies and helped me secure admission to a reputable college in Bhubaneswar. Thanks to the unwavering support of Divine Onkar Mission and the kind people associated with it, I felt incredibly fortunate and blessed. Today, I am employed at Tech Mahindra as a Software Test Engineer. I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped me along the way. My current position allows me to support my mother, sisters, and friends whenever they need assistance. This journey from a leprosy colony to a successful career in technology has been transformative, and I am thankful for the opportunities and love I have received. Also, Divine Onkar Mission has taken care of my 2 sisters and my mother.Everyone is now staying at Onkar. DOM has helped me to get my sister married, she is happy and doing well in her life. I am grateful to Father, Mother, Tony jijaji, Bijay Di, Charanjit Uncle, Kumlaish Di,Ramesh jijaji, Harkomal Uncle,Kittu Bhaiya, Jane Palmer Di, Steph Di and my teachers at Divine Onkar Mission.
